The Amazing World of Gumball - The Apology: Chase Sequence
This scene was created as an assignment during the Professional Storyboard Course at The Animation Workshop. Adrian Maganza instructed us to storyboard a chase scene for an episode of the show »The Amazing World of Gumball«.
In the episode »The Apology« Miss Simian, the school teacher of Gumball and Darwin thinks thinks the two insulted her. She fails multiple times to find evidence of the kids’ bad behavior therefore she decides to spray graffiti in the men’s bathroom in order to frame them. In doing so she threatens her career and her relationship to the school principle. For the final act of the episode I was given a premise for a chase sequence between the teacher and her students. After that I worked out the various story beats this chase would include and storyboarded the scene.

Minna is a young girl living happily with her father John. When John invites his new girlfriend Helene and her daughter Jenny to live with them, Minna’s live is turned upside down. The easygoing rhythm she had with her dad is gone and Minna has to find a way to deal with her bossy step-sister.

Treasures of Zuma: The Final Race – Action Scene Rough Storyboard and Thumbnails
It’s the last day of ski camp. Maya has been struggling all week. She still can barely keep herself on two feet whenever she puts on skis. For the final race, her only chance of making it to the finish line is to rely on her magical lucky charm »Chita«. As long as she keeps her eyes closed, »Chita« takes over and helps her make her way to the front of the race. But will that be enough to make it all the way to the end?

Inkstorm above Bellblanc - Story Concept
These beat boards and concept illustrations were created to develop a personal story idea: The city of Bellblanc is world-famous for its beautiful pearl white facades. But recently a mysterious weather phenomenon known as the „Pollockian Ink Storm“ has started plaguing the city. Every day black rainfall pours over the city, covering the once pristine white houses in dark ink blotches. The citizens of Bellblanc are struggling to find a way to live with this situation.
Only Yves, the city’s master painter is determined to find a solution to the ink storms and restore Bellblanc’s reputation.
